Another installment in the best-selling fighting games series set in the universe of the popular manga by Akira Toriyama and anime TV series. The production was developed by the experienced Dimps studio, which already has in its portfolio several parts of the game, released for both home and handheld consoles.
Dragon Ball: Xenoverse for PC, PS4 and etc. is a fighting game based on the popular manga by Akira Toriyama. It was developed by the veterans from Dimps who previously developed such games as Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, and Dragon Ball Evolution.
The game presents the most important and most effective brawls of the series by Son Goku, starting with the one with Vegeta i Nappa, through Freezer in the fourth stadium and Cell in a brilliant shape, ending with trying his hand with Bubu. The developer, however, decided to freshen up the approach to Dragon Ball and introduced a new structure of the world, a futuristic city, and new mysterious character with superhuman capabilities.
Dragon Ball: Xenoverse is the first game in the history of the brand to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One which makes the visuals even better. In order to ensure that the game resembles the Japanese animation and manga as much as possible, the developers decided to use cell-shading technology, thanks to which the graphics have characteristic comic-like style.

Xenoverse is worth a recommendation for diehard Dragon Ball Z fans interested in participating in the story. Seeing your own created character interact with legendary moments from the anime is satisfying, and it's fun to witness characters like Nappa and Goku become allies. However, the shallow and repetitive gameplay lacks the same impact, and the long grind is a heavy burden. Those without such a strong attachment to the franchise may not be able to stomach the compromise.
