A retro-style action RPG that takes inspiration from 8- and 16-bit console titles. Hyper Light Drifter is set in a fantasy world with some science-fiction elements. Player becomes one of the Drifters - the seekers of forgotten technology. He embarks on a journey to dangerous land in order to find a cure for his deadly disease. The gameplay in Hyper Light Drifter is based mainly on exploration and dynamic combat, featuring many tactical options. Character’s primary weapon is an energy sword of limitless power but he can also use pistols and rifles charged with batteries. Moreover, he is accompanied by a flying probe which can generates a shield to defend him, provide light in dark corridors, help find hidden ages, and manage the character’s equipment. Both the items and the probe can be upgraded by installing additional modules.
