A mobile arcade game by the Japanese studio Select Button, set in the universe of the Pokemon game series. Splash! Magikarp takes place in the world created for the previous mobile installments of the franchise, such as Pokemon Shuffle, Pokemon Trading Card Game Online, Pokemon Go or Pokemon Duel. The story focuses on mysterious holes, which one day appear in a small town. The holes are shaped like the first-generation fish Pokemon Magikarp.
Pokemon: Magikarp Jump, released on AND and iOS, is a mobile game available in a free-to-play model with microtransactions. The game was developed by Select Button, known for its humorous Survive! Mola mola! simulator.
Plot
The action of the game takes place in the Pokemon universe. This world was created for a series of mobile console games, but we could also visit it in many mobile projects such as Pokemon Duel.
The plot of the game revolves around the appearance of mysterious holes in a small town. Their shape resembles a fish Pokemon known as Magikarp, which is famous for its poor combat skills and funny appearance. A local fisherman was the first to come across them, and the authorities soon afterward launched an official investigation. We play the role of a daredevil who decides on their own to discover the truth about this event.
