A mobile, free-to-play version of the popular card game. Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket allows us to collect cards with titular creatures and then use them to participate in turn-based battles with other Pokemon players.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is a videogame adaptation of the popular collector's game titled Pokemon Trading Card Game. This project is the result of a collaboration between The Pokemon Company, which oversees the brand, and two other studios - Creatures and DeNA. The game is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
Gameplay
In of mechanics, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket faithfully recreates the rules of the original. The pillar of the game is composing a deck of cards, the most prominent among which are cards representing individual Pokemons and their evolutions. We collect new cards by opening special packs, which we get for free or buy.
We can show off our collection to the world through binders and special display boards, as well as during duels with other players. The battles take place in turn-based mode, and during them we play cards that provide us with various effects (dealing damage to the opponent's Pokemon, strengthening, etc.). Well used cards can tip the scales of victory in our favor.
