Ascending Tide is a small expansion for the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online, developed by ZeniMax Online. Two new PvE missions are an introduction to the events in the High Isle chapter.
Ascending Tide is a small add-on to the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online starting the main storyline - Legacy of the Bretons - continued in the next three DLCs. It was developed by ZeniMax Online Studios.
Plot
The action is an introduction to the events in the High Isle chapter - the political intrigues and dealing with dangerous organizations. We start exploring the Breton thread with a mission in a pirate atmosphere. Our main task is to explore the remains of the once proud All Flags fleet and storm the coastal hideout of the mysterious Ascendant Order. During these adventures we have a chance to meet again with a few already known characters - including Captain Za'jim and Jakarn.
Game mechanics
The expansion introduces two PvE missions (Dungeons) for four players - The Coral Aerie and Shipwright's Regret. requires the main game to work. The DLC also brings new item sets, furniture, collectibles or house.
There has been a modification related to the achievements - from now on they are not assigned to a particular character, but shared by all heroes within one . The combat system has also been modified - when possible, skills are dynamically scaled according to the highest offensive stats. Some of the abilities less used by players have been slightly improved to increase their popularity.
Technical aspects
The add-on is not standalone and requires the main game to work.
