Foxhole is an MMO action game, the main attraction of which is fighting battles on a large scale. Players on the Charlie server could discover how effective and interesting this can be. s have unleashed an eternal war there.

The conflict lasted over 70 days and during it 9 million soldiers were killed.

  1. The reason for the prolonged battles was that both sides had equal forces. As a result, the eternal war ensued, where no group could gain a real advantage.
  2. In the end, the developers chose to resolve the conflict by announcing that they will soon lower the number of victory points required to win.
  3. The decision of the devs caused one of the factions to lose the will to fight, and their rivals were able to carry out the final offensive, achieving victory before the new victory conditions were implemented.

Until now, the developers didn't intervene in such situations, but as they explain, they wanted players ing the game on the Charlie server to experience full conflicts, with a beginning and an end. Both sides reached the maximum development of technological trees after just 20 days, and then for the next fifty days the situation on the battlefield didn't undergo significant changes.

Many fans are strongly dissatisfied with the developers' intervention. They feel betrayed by the creators, as their decision wasted almost two months of the players' efforts.

On Steam, one of the players who spent over 130 hours in Foxhole, wrote the following negative review:

Developers can artificially end an online war if they deem it necessary. If devs decide on this instead of players, what's the point of playing?
