A modder is bringing back multiplayer in RDR for PC. The project is expected to offer heavily customized gameplay
Are you missing multiplayer in PC-based Red Dead Redemption? Now you can a modification that aims to fix this unfortunate state of affairs.

In October last year, Red Dead Redemption finally arrived on PC. This release was generally very well received, as shown by the fact that it has 92% positive reviews on Steam. However, it has one major drawback: it lacks the multiplayer mode that was included in the console versions when they debuted in 2010. Now, one fan has decided to do something about it.
- The result of his work is the RDRMP modification, which is already available for .
- The author's goal is not simply to recreate the console multiplayer experience. Instead, he aims for something akin to FiveM for GTA 5, so a system with extensive for new scripts, allowing players to develop their own variants of multiplayer gameplay.
- Currently, the project is in a very early stage and only offers a few basic functions, but it is already worth checking out, just to get an idea of what might be possible.
The project looks very promising. Its creator, K3rhos, is an experienced modder who has previously developed many tools for modifying Red Dead Redemption. This means that RDRMP really has the potential to become a FiveM-style platform where fans can bring their multiplayer ideas to life in RDR1.
Of course, this bright future will only materialize if Rockstar Games does not decide to shut the project down. Modding Rockstar games is often a gamble, and it's hard to predict which modification will be allowed to grow and which will be shut down.
However, there are some reasons for optimism regarding RDRMP. Rockstar tends to shut down projects that directly compete with its official productions. In this case, the PC version of RDR1 has no multiplayer mode, and the studio has abandoned further development of the multiplayer module in Red Dead Redemption 2. So, we hope that RDRMP will have a peaceful future ahead.
