Anno 117 in first gameplay screenshots. Devs showcased new citizens' needs system
During the stream, the creators of Anno 117: Pax Romana showed the first screenshots and discussed changes to an important game system.

We will have to wait until May for the first gameplay showcase of Anno 117: Pax Romana, but we can already take a look at the first screenshots.
The screenshots were shown during the stream, where the creators talked about the game's development process. The entire stream was about 68 minutes and you can watch the recording on Twitch.
This is what the new system of citizens' needs looks like in Anno 117
On the shots, we can see, among other things, a new system of citizens' needs. In the game, there's no clear distinction between basic needs, satisfaction, and the quality of citizens' lives.
Instead, optional needs will be introduced, appearing in several categories, just like in Anno 1404. On the first level, Liberti, the following needs will exist: food, clothing, and public services. On the second level, Plebeians, another need will be added, and so on.
To advance to a higher level, it will no longer be necessary to meet all needs, but only to achieve a certain level of satisfaction. This will provide greater freedom in deciding how to achieve our goal.
Initially, the stream with the first gameplay was supposed to take place this month. However, the devs made a mistake and the stream was eventually delayed to May 19th. Yesterday's stream was mainly done to make up for the fans' longer wait.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is heading to PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5. The game is set to launch this year.
In the last few weeks players waiting for this game got plenty of info. The developers revealed, among other things, major improvements in the map creation process, which will make them more realistic and diverse. Furthermore, they announced changes in the road-laying mechanics, where Anno 117: Pax Romana will eliminate the building restrictions that have been part of the series since the beginning.
