Baldur's Gate 3 With Another Prestigious Award. To Date, Only One Video Game Has Won It
Baldur's Gate 3 received another award. This time, the RPG from Larian Studios was honored at the 2024 Hugo Awards - the second game ever to do so.

If you thought that Hades won such a statuette for the first time in 2021.
The award ceremony took place on August 11, 2024 in Scotland. The statuette on behalf of Larian Studios was received by the CEO and founder of the company - Swen Vincke. The developer warmly thanked for the distinction in the category "Best Game or Interactive Work."
I'm very grateful that you created this award and category. Video game writing is often underestimated. It is very, very, very hard work.
Apart from Baldur’s Gate III, there are 5 other titles among the nominees: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
The Hugo Awards event has been organized since 1953 by the American World Science Fiction Convention. During the gala, awards are given in various categories for literary work focused on fantasy and science fiction.
In 2021, the event organizers created a temporary section where a video game, specifically its scenario, could be considered for an award. It wasn't until 2023 that a permanent category called "Best Game or Interactive Work" was created (via PCGamer).
