At the end of April, update, which, to put it mildly, wasn't the most successful. The update was primarily intended for s of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, who can now enjoy 60 frames per second and 4K resolution, and it also became available on PC.

Unfortunately, the next-gen update has caused many problems on all platforms, which, fortunately, Bethesda is aware of. The studio rolled up its sleeves and, according to a post published on X, started working on a new version, which will be released today.

On Monday, May 13 we will be updating Fallout 4 on all platforms. This update will include new options for graphics and performance settings as well as further fixes and improvements. Thanks for your continued and !

The next-gen update not only caused significant damage to many PC mods, but also experienced various other problems, such as poorly functioning ultra-wide screen , unwanted graphic alterations, and malfunctioning Steam Deck compatibility. The cherry on top was the weight of the update - it took up another 14 GB of our disk space.

To make matters worse, it forced the devs of the major mod Fallout: London to delay the premiere. It was originally planned to debut a few days before Bethesda's patch, but unfortunately, it didn't happen, and the new date still hasn't been announced.

Hopefully, the update will resolve the issues players are facing, and the studio's changes won't create further confusion.
