CD Projekt partners with mobile gaming giant. The fruit of this partnership may be a game from The Witcher or Cyberpunk universe
The announcement of the financial results for 2024 by CD Projekt Group also brought news of the Polish company's partnership. Scopely, the American mobile games giant, has become its strategic partner.

Scopely is an American developer known primarily for the game Monopoly Go!, which has achieved tremendous success in the mobile market. Recently, the company also announced the acquisition of Niantic (via VGC), the studio responsible for Pokemon Go, which further strengthens its position in the industry - the value of this transaction is $3.5 billion. By taking over Niantic, Scopely will also gain access to games such as Monster Hunter Now and Pikmin Bloom.
During today's conference, CD Projekt didn't reveal many details about the title, which is supposed to be the result of the cooperation between both companies. The only official information is that it will be set in the world of one of the CDP brands. For now, we can only speculate.
A partnership with Scopely could be an important step for CD Projekt in expanding into the very profitable mobile games market. So far, the Polish company has mainly focused on large AAA games—although it has also tried to get its share of the pie on iOS and Android devices, among others through The Witcher: Monster Slayer —and Scopely has the appropriate experience in creating and monetizing mobile games. We might soon see a game set in the Witcher or Cyberpunk universe, tailored to the free-to-play model (since Scopely's creations are free-to-play titles).
