The early access release of console players would like to the fun also, but they will have to wait a little longer for that. Fans have a long list of questions regarding this chef game. For one, if there will be multiplayer and coop available? We have the answer.

You should not cunt on multiplayer on release, as developers announced, they focus on singleplayer experience. However, in the FAQ attached to the Kickstarter campaign, we can read that it is possible and in the future we might see a coop mode.
We are actively taking ideas from the community and there is potential for a fun co-op experience. If we do go ahead with co-op, it would be implemented some time after the initial launch.
It is hard to tell if the information refers to early access release or 1.0. If it is the latter, then according to Stardew Valley did not have a multiplayer mode at the beginning.
