Civilization 7 files have quite a few secrets. They concern the atomic age and pirate nations

Civilization 7 scored a slight false start, but it looks like it can still surprise us. Clues have been found in the game's code suggesting new civilizations, pirate leaders, and the coming of the atomic age.

The launch of An update has already been announced for March, which is supposed to improve the comfort and balance of the gameplay. However, it cannot be denied that the current shape of the game leaves much to be desired: the whole thing still has a chance to become a really successful title.

Players have discovered in the files of the seventh Civilization a suggestion that may surprise us more than once. It's called AssetCloud.env, and it contains a wealth of intriguing details about the additions planned for the game's future development.

Atomic pirates

So what does the file hide? First and foremost, the names of successive leaders and the names of civilizations. Among them are Edward Teach (alias Blackbeard), Sayyida al Hurra (the pirate queen of the Mediterranean Sea), and Whina Cooper (a Maori leader). When it comes to nations, we will find there Ottomans, Maoris, the people of Tonga, the pirate republic, and Iceland.

An interesting point is also the term "age-atomic-shell," which may suggest that a new, fourth-age - atomic, will be added to the game at some point.

The file also mentioned the "Asia wonders pack." Nevertheless, just the possibility of playing as the aforementioned nations and leaders sparked the imagination of the players.

Atomic age pirate republic is wild - wrote FTBS2564.

Aside from Iceland, none of those civs are likely Cold War or later civs. However, all the leaders and civs seem to be naval or even a piracy focus. This looks like it might be the next DLC after Right to Rule - stated a fan with the pseudonym clshoaf.

It's impossible to predict if any of these nations and leaders will eventually be included in the game, but they would certainly be a welcome addition. Of course, only when the developers have already dealt with other, urgent matters.
