Civilization 7 without major feature a day before release. Huge update only hit PC, and Firaxis promises bigger and more significant patches
Civilization 7 received a new update that fixes some problems on the PC. Major patches are also expected to be released in the future.

After the first players checked out Sid Meier's Civilization VII through paid early access, the game received a flood of negative reviews. So it's no wonder that the developers are trying to quickly fix bugs and restore the fun of gameplay for fans.
Two patches were released earlier. Now we have received the third, quite large update 1.0.1, which focuses on solving problems occurring on Windows, Mac, Linux systems, and Steam Deck.
Below you will find some fixes. They concern such elements as gameplay, AI, "raging" camera, and interface. The devs encourage reporting further errors that players may encounter during the game.
- The crossplay mode allowing console and PC players to play together has been temporarily disabled. This is supposed to result from the different frequency of releasing patches for individual platforms.
- The problem causing the "epic" and "marathon" eras to be shorter than planned has been fixed.
- Marine units already have correct combat strength values during an attack.
- Completing the last milestone of the Legacy Path doesn't advance progress in the modern age, to ensure more time to achieve victory.
- At the beginning of the modern age, AI will declare war less often.
- Other leaders now feel a greater desire to wage war with players of different ideologies.
- The bug with native resolutions has been fixed, as a result of which the camera focused on the lower part of the map after clicking on the minimap.
- City projects are no longer put up for sale.
- The current religion is displayed first in the beliefs tab.
- A bug was fixed that caused leaders to lack portraits when their relationship with us changed during gameplay.
The devs also announce larger and more crucial patches, which are expected to appear in the future. Unfortunately, we didn't find out when exactly we can expect the first update of this type.
The seventh Civilization will have its official launch on February 11, 2025. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
