One of the city builders we are most looking forward to this year is SimCity 3000 with a modern simulation of a city and its residents. If, like us, you have high hopes for this project, you should be interested in the news that the demo of the game has just received a major update.

  1. The simulation of the city residents' behavior has been greatly improved. Now they can do additional tasks and freely spend their free time on various activities. Previously, inhabitants could only eat, sleep, and work.
  2. The mechanisms related to supply and demand have also been revamped. A demand from residents for office spaces and industrial buildings was also included.
  3. Tasks for the mayor have appeared in the game, and completing them allows you to unlock extra elements.
  4. People from outside our metropolis can now come to the city for visits.
  5. We can also issue commands when the game is paused.
  6. Besides, the interface and road laying mechanics were improved, and a Micro Map mode was added. In the Micro Map mode, we can freely play on a small 10x10 map, without any imposed objectives.

The demo is now available on Steam. The game is exclusively heading to PC and will soon be released in early access. The Early Access version will be similar to a demo in of features, but it will offer much more extensive content.
