Diablo 4 Almost Like Diablo 5. Devs Comment on Positive Reactions to New Season Tests
The developers of Diablo 4 have acknowledged the enthusiasm of players in response to „fundamental” changes that the next season of the game will introduce.

Diablo 4 has come to an end. Now fans have to wait for its official launch - which means they have time to discuss the changes in the game. The creators hope that the new season of D4 will finally help regain s' trust and attract new people to the game.
So far, players have had many reasons to complain about the "fourth" Diablo. Especially the endgame and the item system greatly disappointed the fans.
These elements include some of the most important changes that players could check over the last week. So far, reactions have been extremely enthusiastic. Some of these opinions were mentioned by Rod "PezRadar" Fergusson, who manages the Diablo brand, in an interview for IGN.
The creator did not fail to compare the current situation to the one that preceded the debut of Diablo 5.
Although such a term may seem a bit exaggerated, the scope of the changes at least partially justifies it. Fergusson emphasizes that what's new in season 4 will be a "fundamental" transformation of the game - basically a complete reconstruction from scratch of some elements of the fourth Diablo.
Fergusson and accompanying him John Mueller (the game's main art director) also emphasized that every change in the game - even the increasing the number of monsters - is the result of a "whole lot of engineering and optimization." This also translates into refining the game's performance on various devices, with Mueller emphasizing that although Diablo 4 may have to abandon older platforms (PS4 and XOne) someday, Blizzard has no plans to abandon 8th-gen consoles as of now.
The creators also itted that the decision to test the game has a certain drawback: PTR will allow dataminers to access the files of season 4, giving them insight into undisclosed novelties. This was the reason why Blizzard recently World of Warcraft Public Test Server.
Therefore, Ferguson does not promise that each next season will allow players to test new features earlier. PTR will arrive to Diablo 4 only when the number of changes will justify such a decision.
The fourth season of D4 will start on May 14.
