Easy way to get wood in Tainted Grail. After a few days you will have a lot of it
Wood is no longer a rare material in Tainted Grail. There are some spots where you can get it easily. So, where to find it then?

After Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon was finally released in version 1.0 on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. So, it’s a perfect time to revisit (or visit for the first time) this dark open world RPG. You should keep in mind that some elements have changed from the EA period, though. For example, wood is way easier to get right now. So, what do you have to do to find it?
How to get wood in Tainted Grail
Like many RPGs, Tainted Grail allows you to gather resources. One of them is wood. For over a year after games’ early access launch, it was one of the most wanted materials. This is because there was no effective method to get it except loot. So, players didn’t have enough wood to craft items (or even complete the quests).
At the end of 2024, developers added new mechanics – chopping wood. You can do this at the specific locations on the map. However, in the first place, you should get a Woodcutting Axe. It can be done quite soon after starting the game. Go to the fortress in Horns of the South. There is a merchant called Orlaith near the gate. She can sell you this item.
When you have a Woodcutting Axe, you can finally start chopping. Keep in mind that you can’t go to the forest and farm wood endlessly. Instead, you must find the Lumbering Spots. One of them is in the same fortress as the merchant (in Horns of the South). It’s located near the practice area in the central part of the castle (look around for training dummies and you'll definitely find the place).
When you reach one of the Lumbering Spots, you can interact with it until it runs out of wood. Stocks are replenished every few days, so just skip the time and check if the material has appeared.
Of course, If you have a lot of money, there is another method to get wood. You can simply buy this resource from the Blacksmith.
