Facebook and Instagram Will Enable Blocking of Political Ads
American Facebook and Instagram s have been given the opportunity to block advertising related to politics, elections and social issues.

IN A NUTSHELL:
- Facebook has made it possible to block politically and socially related advertising on its social websites;
- The change has so far only been implemented in the USA.
Facebook has reported that s of its social network websites (including Instagram) in the US can now turn off certain types of advertising. These include content related to politics in general. The information was published on Twitter by Rob Leathern, Director of Product Management at Facebook.
It is worth noting that some content will be displayed even if someone decides to block similar ads, but the vast majority should disappear. Relevant functions are available under "Sensitive Topics" in Facebook's settings, and the content that can be excluded in this way concerns three topics: politics, elections and social issues.

It is worth noting that this solution has so far been implemented only in the USA (probably due to the fact that an election campaign is underway). The appearance of this function in the rest of the world is probably a matter of time.
