Facebook is No More; Mark Zuckerberg Introduces Meta
During today's Facebook Connect presentation, the platform's creator Mark Zuckerberg announced a name change for his social network that clearly references the metaverse.

A lot of rumors about Facebook changing name has been floating around the Internet lately. As we found out during the ongoing Facebook Connect conference, the most popular social network is changing its name from Facebook to Meta.
The name refers to a new dimension of the Internet, which is expected to be a "metaverse", something to be common in the future. In addition to the company's much-anticipated name change, a number of other projects have been announced to help take the web to the "next level". These are related to VR technology or smart glasses, among other things.
