Fan favorite Carentan will be back in Call of Duty: WWII, but not for everyone

Carentan, one of Call of Duty's most iconic multiplayer arenas, will be added to Call of Duty: WWII as a bonus map... only for season owners.

Call of Duty games, coming to Call of Duty: WWII in a remastered version – Activision hasn’t explained whether the map will simply be enhanced visually or are there any serious design changes in store. Carentan, however, will only be available in Call of Duty: WWII as a bonus for season holders.

Carentan is the place where many Call of Duty fans would get some of their first frags ever.

Carentan is a small town in Normandy, which was turned into a Call of Duty multiplayer map in the first installment of the series and then resurfaced in the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for free at some point). That map became very popular, as it offered a number of devastated, fully explorable buildings, which created tons of occasions for close quarter combat, as well as some mid-range opportunities.

Call of Duty: WWII is launching on November 3, 2017 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
