Father of Tekken doesn't mess around with fans. Harada criticizes „pointless” and „disrespectful” complaints about new Anna Williams design
Katsuhiro Harada responded to the complaints of the (few) Tekken 8 fans who didn't like Anna Williams' new look.

Katsuhiro Harada once again didn't mess with fans. The father of Tekken has commented on the complaints of alleged Anna Williams fans following the announcement that the fighter will return in the second season of the eighth installment of the series.
the latest announcements, which featured major mechanics and ranking mode updates, the introduction of a vast number of changes (1,500), and the reveal of the first character for the second season.
This latest change attracted the attention of the players. Most of them are thrilled with her return (or at least not complaining about it), but some veterans of the series allegedly have a problem with Anna Williams' new look.
It's not completely clear what their issue is, though some suggest that these players are displeased with - to put it mildly - an excess of clothing (and hair, but those complaints are unfounded, as the hairstyle from Tekken 7 is also available as an option). There are also accusations regarding changes made for "inclusivity," but without pointing to any specific element.
"Non-constructive, aimless" and "dismissive" opinion
One of the dissatisfied players tagged Harada in his post. Where he stated that he "doesn't like Anna's new design," even suggesting that she was replaced by a new character as a form of "getting back" at the fans of this character for "years of ."
It's not clear what this of X expected when he posted this entry. However, he clearly either didn't know Harada, or deliberately threw himself under the train for five minutes of fame. Unlike many developers, the father of Tekken never holds back his words, responding to fans' jabs and comments bluntly. It was no different this time.
Harada stated that although "98% of fans" welcome Anna in T8 with open arms, there will always be "such people" like this complaining internet . The dev accused him of posing as an "Anna's fan," even though he is just expressing his own opinion. Moreover, the way he expresses it is "completely unconstructive, pointless, and, above all, disrespectful to other Anna's fans."
The creator also didn't fail to point out the problem with accommodating players in any way. Fans, as he put it, complain about the lack of character, her return, and her new design, but they would also grumble if nothing had been changed (because "it's recycling!"). He also added that fans can still see the old versions of the characters in previous installments ("nobody took that away from them").
Harada replied just as bluntly, if not more so, to the accusation about the latter statement, that the older parts of Tekken didn't reach newer platforms.
This kind of behavior is now typical for Harady and it definitely doesn't cause players to dislike him. They tend to find the dev's adventures amusing, and they definitely don't usually side with the critics of the "new" Anna.
Anna Williams will be available in the game on April 3rd for all players, and those with early access will be able to try her out on March 31st.
