Final Fantasy XIV is the Biggest Commericial Hit in the Series
The Final Fantasy series consists mainly of single-player games. However, it turns out that the biggest commercial hit in the history of the brand was the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.

Originally FF14 was released in 2010 and met with terrible reception. The reception was so bad that Square Enix formed a new development team, headed by Naoki Yoshida. The team developed a refreshed version of the project, changing virtually all of its elements. The result of this work was released in 2013 as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and it turned out to be a great success.
The last few months were extremely successful for the game. FF14 benefited from the problems of World of Warcraft and became, for many players, the most important MMORPG on the market. At one point, the sales of the title were so high that new activity record on Steam.
