For the First Time Ever, Riot Games Dropped Its Game on Consoles. LoL Developers Unexpectedly Release Valorant for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
Riot Games released the first console version of one of its games. The free-to-play shooter Valorant is now available for on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.

The Riot Games studio prepared a little surprise for players. I don't think anyone expected that the console version of Valorant, announced in June, would debut just like that, overnight - especially since the release date wasn't known to anyone so far, and it also seems that its beta-tests took place just "yesterday." Nevertheless, Valorant for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is now available. Be sure to take a look at the recently released movie trailer for the shooter (below).
I remind a few essential details to those planning to start playing the console version of this online FPS:
- Valorant doesn't offer matches between PC and console players;
- despite this, players' s on individual platforms are linked (this means that progress and equipment are shared);
- all updates will appear at the same time on both PC and consoles.
It should be noted that despite League of Legends: Wild Rift, heading to PS4 and XOne. Curious gamers may also observe that the release of Valorant coincided with the beginning of this year's Valorant Champions Tour.
