Free Version of Fall Guys Drew in Tens of Millions of People
Fall Guys' transition to a free-to-play model has been a huge success. The developers revealed the number of players in the first 48 hours after implementing the change.
One of the video game hits of 2020, has switched to the free-to-play model a few days ago. At the same time, the title disappeared from Steam - on PC you can only it from Epic Games Store - but it appeared on XOne, XSX/S, PS5 and Switch (previously it was only available on PC and PS4).
This rather surprising decision by studio Devolver Digital turned out to be a bull's eye. The creators bragged yesterday on the game's dedicated Twitter (below) that within the first forty-eight hours of implementing the change Fall Guys attracted 20 million players. The number is quite impressive - so it's no surprise that the devs thanked the community for such high interest.
