The Co-founder of the Studio Responsible for Forza Horizon Resigns
The studio responsible for the Forza Horizon series loses its leader. Its boss and co-founder Gavin Raeburn left Playground Games.
Playground Games has lost one of its founders. After 12 years as the director, Gavin Raeburn leaves the studio to be replaced by Trevor Williams. Microsoft published an announcement about this, which you can read below (via Windows Central).
After 12 years working on five award-winning Forza Horizon games, Gavin Raeburn is leaving Playground Games as Studio Director. A founding member of Playground Games, we thank Gav for his leadership and contributions to the Forza franchise and wish him all the best. Co-founder Trevor Williams will transition from General Manager to Studio Head effective immediately, as the Playground Games team focuses on updates to Forza Horizon 5 and the development of Fable.
Playground Games was founded in 2009 by three people - Gavin Raeburn, Ralph Fulton and Trevor Williams. The studio is known for developing the Fable.
Gavin Raeburn himself is considered an industry veteran. Before founding Playground Games, he worked at Codemasters, where he was responsible for such series as DiRT and GRID.
