God of War Sequel Delayed; Sony Confirms PS4 Release
Hermen Hulst and Sony Santa Monica confirmed rumors about the delay of God of War's sequel. Kratos' new adventure in the world of the Nordic gods will be released only in 2022 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Horizon: Forbidden West. Sony Santa Monica also spoke out. The devs announced on Twitter that the second installment of Kratos' Nordic adventures will be released only in 2022.
Incidentally, Hulst also revealed another thus unconfirmed piece of information. In the post we read that the new Horizon - is being designed with not only PlayStation 5 but also PS4 in mind. Sony doesn't want to cut itself off from the people who bought one of the more than 110 million copies of PlayStation 4.
Unfortunately, the information is virtually the only solid mention of the next God of War, if you don't count Sony's correction regarding the game's title (which is still not approved as God of War: Ragnarok, via VentureBeat). Many months have ed since the confirmation of the start of work on the project in September, and during this time not a single teaser, screenshot or any other material from the game appeared. Apparently, this dry spell will last a long time.
