Hasbro Made $90 Million on Baldur's Gate 3. Deal With Larian Hit Bull's Eye

Baldur's Gate 3 has proven to be a goldmine not only for Larian Studios, but also Hasbro, the owner of the D&D brand on which the successful game is based. The latest financial report for the entire year 2023 from the American company shows that it made $90 million from the success of BG3, all thanks to g a license agreement with Belgian developers.
As a result, Wizards of The Coast's profits (a subsidiary of Hasbro, primarily involved in publishing card and role-playing games) and the digital gaming division increased by 10% from the previous year.
Baldur's Gate had another healthy quarter. I think for the year in totality, Baldur's Gate was around $90 million of revenue - announced Gina Goetter, CFO of Hasbro (via PC Gamer).
Despite anticipating a decrease in revenue from BG3 in the months, Hasbro is confident that the game will continue to attract buyers.
Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks stated that the triumph of Baldur's Gate 3 has expanded opportunities for more games based on Dungeons & Dragons.
Baldur's Gate 3 is just the first of several new videogames that will be coming out over the next five to 10 years that I think will continue to power that franchise - he explained.
According to the latest rumors, Larian Studios is considering opening a branch in Poland, so maybe one of these games will be developed there.
