Fans are certainly happy that their favorite game gets so much content. They may also wonder where their money has gone throughout all these years. All the DLCs for the fourth Sims game cost a lot.
How much? We have calculated this and presented our results in the graphic below. We have listed only forty-eight DLCs released until the end of 2021 so that comparing the subsequent years to each other would make any sense. We didn't take into the Carnaval Streetwear Kit released on February 3 and the My Wedding Stories game pack. However, it is all still very expensive.
If you bought everything on the release, you paid 864,2 USD. If you add to this the price of the base game and the Carnaval Streetwear Kit, this amount increases to 909,18 USD. However, My Wedding Stories is about to get released - this DLC will cost you 19,99 USD.
If you have just realized how much money you spent over these seven years, then maybe you will find a little bit of comfort in knowing that if EA Maxis released its game along with the DLCs as a subscription service, the monthly cost would "only" be 10,05 USD. It's cheaper than paying for the subscription on Netflix, right?
