How Much Money is Minecraft Making? Dev Reveals Revenue and Number of Active Players
One of the developers working on Minecraft reported on his social media profile about the game's earnings and the number of active players.
Jeff Y., one of the chief game developers at Microsoft, Minecraft earns more than $100 million in revenue annually. The information contained in the profile, also reveals that the title is consistently popular - it records about 160 million active players each month. The developer does not specify on which platforms these results were obtained, although we can assume that the case applies to all hardware on which Minecraft was officially released .

In Minecraft the player freely roams procedurally generated worlds in which all elements consist of cubes or participates in story-driven adventures. The essential elements of gameplay are obtaining raw materials, crafting, gaining experience and Minecraft: Dungeons were created on its base.
