How to play Marathon Alpha. „Early access” is not for all
Alpha test is a great opportunity to check out Marathon early. Here you will learn how to apply for those. There are some limitations though, so make sure to read this guide thoroughly.

We know Bungie mostly from not everyone was optimistic about the title. If you, too, are unsure about this production and would rather give it a try without splurging money on it first, there is a chance to do so in a series of Alpha tests that will allow for a kind of early access to it. There is a caveat though, so keep on reading to learn more.
Marathon alpha tests explained
Getting an early glimpse of a game can be crucial in making a decision whether to eventually buy it or not. Especially if the title uses classical pay-to-play monetization method, like Marathon does. The creators from Bungie give us an opportunity to check their production before its official release that’s scheduled to take place on September 23rd, 2025 (coincidentally, just like Borderlands 4). How to get access to the closed alpha tests then?
The alpha tests are currently available only in the United States of America and Canada. If you reside outside of this region, sadly, you won’t be able to participate.
The first thing that is required is to go to Marathon’s official Discord server and type /alpha in #alpha_access channel. Then, follow the prompts generated in the channel and after answering a couple of questions, you will receive a unique link that will allow you to for Alpha tests on bungie.net.
You must have a bungie.net to participate. If you don’t have one as of yet, you will need to create it.
The good news is that you will be able to choose whether you would like to enjoy the tests on PS5, Xbox, or PC. Bear in mind, though, that not all of the submissions will be selected. If you receive an email from “[email protected]” consisting of further instructions on how to the alpha tests, you can consider yourself lucky. And if so happens, you are free to share the gameplay videos, or stream Marathon to your heart’s content, as there is no NDA involved.
Of course, the purpose of the whole endeavor is to gather players’ opinions about the production. Feel free to do so on the already aforementioned discord server, so that the developers can make proper adjustments. Good luck and have fun!
