With the new Path of Exile 2. Mainly we are talking about unique items, changes in the endgame, but also many abilities. One such skill is Tame Beast, which allows you to... well, tame a beast. As a result, your faithful companion will fight by your side! The problem is that the mere use of this skill gem confuses a large number of players. Fortunately, here you will find a solution.
How to Tame Beast in Path of Exile 2
First of all, it is worth noting that the Tame Beast ability allows you to get a companion from a beast type enemy. Seemingly something obvious, but it is worth pointing out, since there are numerous types of creatures. When you find the right beast (preferably one with a very useful aura), bind your Tame Beast ability ( that you need to have skill gem level 9 to do that) and use it on an opponent that has little health. When you kill it, the ability will unbind and change into Persistent, which means that from now on it requires Spirit to activate.
It is worth noting that you can only have one active Companion (unless you pick the Trusted Kinship node in the skill tree). Moreover, when you use a Tame Beast ability, the Skill Gem will disappear. If you want to get another Beast, then you have to repeat the process again.
Once this is done, go to the Bind Abilities tab. There, in the Persistent skills, you will notice your captured Companion which you must activate. This costs a certain amount of Spirit, of course. The cost may vary depending on the power of the animal in question. From now on, the beast will follow you and fight by your side. When it dies, it will reappear after a few seconds and stand up to fight again like other minions.
