Update
As it turns out, the discussed "bug" in Humankind may result not so much from the small number of deposits on the map, but from... a problem with the interface. s on Reddit confirmed that the game sometimes fails to display an icon informing of the presence of crude oil. As you can see in the screenshot from AZesmZLO's thread, the has an oil well built, even though according to the map there are no deposits on this field. Nevertheless, we point out that these are still only speculations of players - Amplitude Studios still has not addressed the matter.
Original message
Humankind gave the impression that the team at Amplitude Studios delivered a good, but imperfect game. Allegations concerned, for example, the implementation of certain mechanics, which is proven by a problem reported by numerous players. Here's the thing, at a late stage of development Humankind pretty much shuts off some of the options in a very annoying way - by lack of resources on the map.

The "bug" reported by numerous netizens concerns crude oil, which is scarce on the maps. In itself, this would not be a problem - after all, competition for access to a limited resource is one of the cornerstones of 4X strategy games. However, in Humankind's case this has gone way too far. After all, there are times when there are only one or two oil deposits on the entire map, even though some buildings require three or more (not to mention the need for "black gold" to field advanced units). In fact, some Reddit s write that this resource is sometimes completely absent from the entire globe generated by the game. So it's hardly surprising that players consider it to be a mistake, rather than a deliberate effort by the developers.
At the time of writing this news, Amplitude Studios has not commented on these reports. Incidentally, we know that the team is working on improving the game and has even released the first Steam.
