Innocent The Finals Players Banned Due to Fight Against Cheaters
In response to fan requests, developers at Embark Studios have stepped up the fight against rogue players in The Finals. Unfortunately, attempts to eliminate cheaters have also resulted in bans for innocent players.

Online shooter 10 million players. Such popularity, however, has its unpleasant consequences. We are, of course, talking about the growing number of cheaters who are the scourge of multiplayer games.
In order to purge the game of rogue players, Embark Studios has made a number of improvements to the anti-cheat system. However, it turns out that not only did they not have the intended effect, but they also affected innocent players.
Indeed, the web has become full of comments in which s complain that they were banned from the game for no reason.. This is most likely the result of an error in the system's algorithm, which treats honest players as if they were cheaters. Here are some examples of statements posted on Steam:
"TFLA0004. I just received this error code with the message " banned", does anyone know how to fix it? I've already tried rebooting my computer, as some have advised, and tech is delaying a response," writes Amnesi4.
"Error TFLA0004, banned in The Finals," reports rev1nd.
"I played the game for 13 hours and bought the battle and enjoyed it, but I tried to today and found out I got banned... I have never hacked in this or any other game, so I am very confused," complaints Anarchy.
"I played the game with two friends, lots of fun in several matches. We buy skins and in the next match I get kicked out after 1 minute. We queue up again and I can't connect to the match. I restart the game and get banned. I lost 20 euros. I filed an appeal against the ban on their website, hopefully they will respond," writes Strawieberry.
As is not hard to guess, the wrongly imposed penalties have angered the fans, who do not spare words of criticism against the developers. The latter apparently are aware of the problems that have arisen, because some bans have already been withdrawn. Nevertheless, the problem has not yet been completely resolved, so be patient and await further developments.
