Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is made on beloved by all players Unreal Engine 5. So, as you might expect PC players already reported some crashes, but it is a totally different story).
But what about consoles? The game is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. So, players with eight generation hardware may feel disappointed. And it’s quite safe to assume that the situation will not change in the future. Like I said, the game is written on Unreal Engine 5. This engine is far from being called undemanding. It can require a lot of computing power and even powerful PC’s sometimes struggle to deal with it.
Theoretically, on consoles the situation is easier, because the game is programmed on specific system and hardware configuration. Xbox One and PS4, however, are simply outdated consoles, removed from the stores before the official UE5 release. So, they may simply not have enough power to run this game.
The Nintendo situation is more complicated. You can be sure that Clair Obscur Expedition 33 will not be released on the first Switch. This console is simply too weak. However, powered by Nvidia components, Switch 2 looks like a more realistic option. DLSS definitely increases the chances for a port.
