Life is Strange TV Will Involve Musician Shawn Mendes
It has been officially announced that Grammy-nominated Shawn Mendes will be responsible for the music in the Life is Strange TV series.

We've heard about plans to create a TV series based on Life is Strange back in 2016, which is pretty soon after the release of the game's first episode. Judging by the silence that followed on the subject, it would seem that the plans were abandoned, but nothing could be further from the truth. As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Shawn Mendes will take part in the production and he will be responsible for the music.
What's more, not only the Canadian singer was engaged in the production of the TV series, but also Anonymous Content, the company responsible for 13 Reasons Why. Both the series and the adapted game have a very similar, dark school atmosphere, so Anonymous' involvement seems to be a good call. And the music, created under the supervision of Mendes, whose style also matches the atmosphere of the game, even more strongly raises hopes that the production can be successful.
Even so, five years have ed since the TV series was announced. During this time, apart from the first part of LiS, focusing on Max and Chloe, other games from the series were created, which significantly expanded the universe - the prequel Life is Strange: True Colors. However, the involvement of Anonymous Content seems to clearly indicate that the TV adaptation will be closer to the first game.
Regardless of what people involved in the production suggest, we still have no certainty about the plot of the series. In the end the producers have a lot to choose from when it comes to the script and this may be just being created, judging by the fact that for a long time we have not heard anything about the production, nor we don't know when it's going to be released..
