UPDATE #2: Another few months have gone by with no updates on the console release of LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL. We're almost at the end of February 2025, and the devs are still hard at work polishing the game. Right now, their main focus seems to be refining the interface, rebuilding the sound system, and reworking a lot of the code to new content and improve stability.
The game is still in Early Access, and as the devs originally said, it’ll stay that way for at least a year. So, a console port won’t even be on the table until the full release.
UPDATE: As of today, October 18th, the developers have not provided any updates regarding a potential console release. Although they are focused on adding accessibility features, character customization, new tools, and more, there is still no information on plans to port the game to consoles.
LOCKDOWN Protocol debuted exclusively on Steam in its Early Access phase on July 22nd. While there's no official word on console versions yet, it's likely the development team is prioritizing the completion of the full PC experience before exploring other platforms.
Positive reviews and increased visibility are crucial steps toward bringing LOCKDOWN Protocol to PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
