The Polish company CI Games has reasons to be satisfied. Its CEO, Marek Tyminski, Lords of the Fallen, released in 2023, is currently experiencing a renaissance.

The game had a fairly average launch. A few days after the release on Steam, only 56% of player reviews praised this title. However, the devs rolled up their sleeves and got to work on fixing and improving the game. In total, they released over 50 patches, and the culmination of these efforts was the recent launch of the major 2.0 update.

  1. The hard work of the creators paid off—within ten days of the premiere of patch 2.0, players purchased 200,000 copies of Lords of the Fallen. The attractive sale also greatly helped in this. The game can be purchased on Steam for $19.79, which is 67% cheaper than the standard price. The offer expires on May 1st.
  2. Tyminski is convinced that game will soon break the milestone of 2 million copies sold. However, what is interesting, despite such results, the development costs have still not been recouped. However, the CEO hopes that this will change soon.
  3. The renaissance of the game can also be seen on Steam. The 2.0 update introduced a big increase in activity results. Last Sunday, 11,647 players were having fun in Lords of the Fallen on this platform, while the week before, there were less than 600 people.
  4. The reception of the game is also improving. Currently, it has 65% positive reviews on Steam, and counting only those from the last 30 days, 72% praise Lords of the Fallen. So it is clear that players like the direction in which the game is heading.

CI Games is not only focused on fixing Lords of the Fallen. Tyminski informed the investors that work on the next installment of the series (Project 3) is progressing at a good pace and the game's release should take place next year.

Not much is known yet about this title. He only revealed that at the time of the debut, the game will offer both a single-player mode and a co-op mode. The first trailer for the project is set to be released in the next few months.

Lords of the Fallen was released on October 13, 2023, on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
