Mafia: The Old Country is the fourth installment of the series, but also its prequel. The game takes place in Sicily at the beginning of the 20th century, where we will play as Enzo. The new work of Hangar 13 studio will stand out from other parts of the series primarily by abandoning the open world in favor of a more "cinematic experience", meaning it will have a linear gameplay structure. The team also decided to abandon their own Illusion Engine and switch to Unreal Engine 5.

Even before the release of today's trailer, the publisher 2K Games accidentally revealed the game's release date. However, it has now been officially confirmed. Mafia: The Old Country will debut on August 8, 2025 on PC and PS5 and XSX/S consoles.
