There are many indications that big changes are being prepared for the Xbox Live Gold subscription. The source of this information is the usually very well-informed website Windows Central, which, however, quickly removed the article on the subject. Therefore, the following information should be approached with caution.

1. According to these reports, on September 1, the Xbox Live Gold subscription (which enables you to play online and gain access to free games as part of Games with Gold) will be eliminated, and its subscribers will be transferred to the new Xbox Game Core service.
2. The price of Xbox Game Core will be the same as Xbox Live Gold - around $7 per month.
