Mortal Kombat XL will get a PC version
It appears the PC fans of Mortal Kombat have finally been heard. Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios has teased Mortal Kombat XL coming to PC.
Having launched in March 2016, Mortal Kombat X, which includes all post-lauch DLCs, such as warrior skins and new playable characters. The thing is, this new release has been available for consoles only. However, all signs on heaven and earth indicate that a PC version is in store. Consider this tweet by Ed Boon, Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios. He posted a photo of a circuit board with a comment: “Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care?”. With MKXL PC letters highlighted, there is little room for doubt on what he meant.
As noted by PC Invasion, this post follows another tweet: “Over 10,000 of you voted. Looks like you guys really want a PC MKXL and some character love/buffs! We hear ya!”. PC players weren’t too happy when they didn’t get Mortal Kombat XL and even started a petition which has since found close to 12 thousand ers. It looks like NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have heard the players and are actually going to bring Mortal Kombat XL to PC. But let’s wait for an official announcement, before we start celebrating.
