Netflix Confirms The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf
Rumors about the emerging animated film under the title The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf have just been confirmed. The picture will be created by screenwriters and showrunners of Netflix's live-action series, and its animation will be created by South Korean Studio Mir, known from The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender.

The rumors about the animated film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf ordered by Netflix turned out to be true. It was confirmed on Twitter by the streaming giant, after the information about the animation was discovered by a fan websiteRedanian Intelligence. The shape of the film will be supervised by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, showrunner of the live-action series, as well as screenwriter Beau DeMayo. The details of the film's plot are very scarce so far. We don't know whether it will be an adaptation of one of the book stories or a completely original story. In the film, Geralt is to face "a new, powerful threat to the whole continent". At the moment, the premiere date is a anything but sure, as is the issue whether we will hear Henry Cavill and other actors from the Netflix series.
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will be produced by South Korean Studio Mir, which has been operating since 2010. The team worked on majority of episodes of The Legend of Korra series, as well as over seventy episodes of Voltron: Legendary Defender, another animated series produced by Netflix a few years ago. Two years ago, the studio also made The Death of Superman, one of the most famous comic book stories with Man of Steel in the lead role. The creators have a lot of experience in working with action scenes and more realistic animation styles. The resulting image may therefore resemble, for example, the two seasons of Castelvania, which were financed by Netflix.
