New release date for Tales of the Shire as the game gets delayed. Hobbits are running late again
Another delay for Tales of the Shire. The release date is getting pushed back, but not by much.

I think by now, we’re all pretty used to this kind of news. A game we’ve been looking forward to gets closer to release, only to get delayed – cue the collective sigh of disappointment. But at this point, we know the deal. If it’s getting pushed back, it just means it’s not quite ready yet. Better to let it cook a little longer than end up with a half-baked mess. This time, our friends over in Bywater are taking a bit more time.
A Wizard is never late but what about a Hobbit?
Well, Hobbits generally value routine and order, but they’re not exactly known for being punctual in the strictest sense. Everyone who was looking forward to Weta Workshop has unfortunately announced that they need some extra time “to ensure that every Hobbit, on every platform, can enjoy the same cosy experience,” and has postponed the premiere to July 29th.
Some fans weren’t too surprised by this since there was still no price or PC system requirements announced, so they kind of saw it coming. Based on what the dev team has said, the game itself seems to be finished, it’s just the porting to all platforms that’s causing delays. So hopefully, it won’t be much longer!
It’s not the only game getting pushed back, GTA 6 – yeah, I’m not holding my breath for that one this year.
