NieR Automata's sequel remains an unfulfilled dream for fans. Square Enix gives them another hope
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the NieR series, Square Enix will hold a special live stream. Fans hope to receive a preview of the new installment during it.

Yesterday marked exactly eight years since NieR: Automata was released. The title telling the story of two androids, 2B and 9S, received an extremely warm reception from both players and reviewers. So it's no wonder that fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel, which may soon be announced.
The NieR series is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and on this occasion, a stream will take place on April 19 at 2:00 a.m. PT on YouTube. Square Enix has announced that we will receive information during the stream about events and gadgets, as well as a mini concert or a discussion between developers, including Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito.
Of course, we didn't receive any information about the announcement of a new game, but it's undeniable that this will be a good opportunity for it. So it's no wonder that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., also known simply as NieR Replicant Remaster.
This one launched just over a year later, on April 23, 2021, and since then it has been quiet about the series. One of its developers teased fans some time ago, saying that he was working on a new project, but he didn't reveal whether it was related to the NieR series. Perhaps we will finally find out about it in April.
NieR: Automata was released in 2017, first on PS4, and later on PC. A year later, we received a version for the XOne console, and in 2022, the game also arrived on the Nintendo Switch. It was recently reported that the sales of the title exceeded 9 million copies.
