Today, we learned that tomorrow’s highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will last a full 60 minutes. The stream will begin at 6:00am PT on April 2nd and feature news about the new Nintendo console as well as what games to look forward to. This feels like an ample amount of time to satiate the excited fans looking forward to this presentation. There’s still a lot we don’t know but here’s a breakdown of what to expect and how to watch.

Nintendo confirms the Switch 2 Direct will last 60 minutes

With 60 minutes to be filled, Nintendo must have a lot to show. Tomorrow will be our first in-depth look at the new console since the new Mario Kart.

In sharing this news Hollow Knight: Silksong. To watch the stream tomorrow, simply click this link by the scheduled time. Personally, I may leave the tab open all day, just in case.

Nintendo also shared today that on April 3rd and 4th Nintendo Treehouse live will return with streams scheduled for 7:00am PT on both days. The streams will be our first look at live gameplay for Nintendo Switch 2 games and the console itself. This is exciting even though it’s not yet clear what games will be featured.

The Nintendo Switch was such a huge hit for Nintendo, it’s nearly caught up to the PlayStation 2 to become the best-selling console of all time. Depending on how this presentation goes tomorrow, what information is revealed, and if consumers can get their hands on a device without having to go through scalpers, this could be even bigger.

Ultimately, some of the most important information tomorrow will be the cost of the console and its release date, and perhaps when pre-orders become available. If there is a limited supply, they will likely disappear quickly. The Nintendo branded alarm clock, Alarmo, revealed last year, was initially only available to pre-order if the purchaser was a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber. Nintendo could do something similar with the new console to limit who and how many people can buy it. But one of the most important distinctions will be if Nintendo opens pre-orders on the day of the Direct or gives people time to prepare.
