Today is the last day of the Legacy of Phrecia event in the first the 3.26 update. However, Grinding Gear Games has prepared something that will make our waiting time a bit more pleasant.

Free Private League templates

Next week, 15 free Private League Templates will be available on PC, each with the capacity to accommodate up to 20,000 players. They will be available for use for about a month, until the end of May. It's worth noting that templates don't allow for adding our own modifiers. All are also based on the Settlers of Kalguur league.

Grinding Gear Games also made sure that every player could find something for themselves there. For people who simply want to try out different things without overcomplicating, the following templates have been prepared:

  1. Just Settlers - the name speaks for itself, a regular Settlers league;
  2. Idols - the ive Atlas tree has been replaced by Idols from Legacy of Phrecia;
  3. Alternate Ascendancies - all Ascendancy classes replaced by their alternative versions from Legacy of Phrecia;
  4. Necro Settlers - monsters in each zone have modifiers that can be changed upon entry;
  5. Shifting Stones - in each zone, a league mechanic appears, upgraded by the appropriate point from the Atlas tree.

For those looking for a bigger challenge, the devs made the above events more difficult by adding some dangerous modifiers, like increased damage, enemy speed, and attack.

Furthermore, five unique templates have been prepared for those players who want to use new mechanics in combination with the old ones.

  1. Affliction - releasing special spirits will buff monsters and the rewards obtained from them;
  2. Idols + Kalandra - the Idols system replaces the Atlas tree, and Kalandra's Lake affects every zone;
  3. Alternate Ascendancies + Sentinels - alternative Ascendancy classes and ancient guardians, which we will use to control risk and reward in combat;
  4. Necro Settlers + Beyond - using the Lantern of Arimor will attract demons;
  5. Shifting Stones + Atlas Invasion - apart from the enhanced mechanics, each zone is invaded by bosses from the Atlas.

According to GGG's plans, the new league for Path of Exile will be released in June.
