Resident Evil 4 Remake Will Launch on Both Generations; Bigger Show Coming Soon
Fans of Resident Evil 4 will be able to play the remake of the game not only on current-gen consoles; the title will also be available on PlayStation 4. In addition, we will soon learn more about the entire series - Capcom is planning a major presentation for next month.

State of Play, where Sony shared a short trailer, but also revealed the game's release date, which is scheduled for March 24, 2023. Today, at the Tokyo Game Show, we learned a new, significant thing: the remake of RE4 will be released not only on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5, but also on PS4. No last-gen consoles were mentioned at State of Play.
However, we didn't get any new footage of the remake (aside from a few short glimpses at today's show). However, Capcom is sure to reveal a bit more at the just-announced Resident Evil Showcase. The event will take place next month, but we don't know its specific date. According to the developers, the showcase will offer new information on both the refreshed RE4, as well as Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition.

The plot of the Resident Evil 4 remake will remain unchanged; we will once again take on the role of Leon S. Kennedy, who, as an agent reporting directly to the US president, is tasked with saving the latter's daughter. The graphics of the original will be significantly improved, and the gameplay will undergo considerable modernization.
