The title is also getting mostly very positive reviews. At the time of writing this news, 91% (out of 3,922) of Steam s have given the game positive reviews. The community praises above all the dark, dense atmosphere, compelling story and pleasant gameplay..

Also Reddit s Resident Evil VII.

"It’s honesty really, really great. A perfect blend of 4 and 7 while retaining a unique identity of its own. (...) It’s an absurd, gory carnival ride." (via Reddit).

RE7 was a new high for the series on Steam not too long ago (20,449 - ed.), and now (...) with RE8 doing 5x that, Capcom must be pretty happy." (via Reddit).

It's hard to disagree with theat last opinion. The Japanese undoubtedly have reasons to be happy, and their plan to sell 10 million copies of the game seems more than likely. The company expressed the enthusiasm associated with the release of the new Resident in an unusual way - an image of a giant werewolf and the game's logo was "drawn" on one of the hills in the county of Somerset in the southwest of England. You can see this unusual ment below.
