Shadow Warrior 2, the sequel to the successful remake of a cult classic action first-person melee/shooter, has been announced to hit PC on October 13, 2016, whereas the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are going to follow in early 2017. If you pre-order the game on Steam or GOG.com you will receive a 10% discount (it’s currently at $35.99) plus the exclusive in-game weapon Razorback Chainsaw Katana. Alongside revealing the release date, the global publisher, Devolver Digital, shared a showy new trailer:
Shadow Warrior 2 is a work by Flying Wild Hog, Polish studio that previously brought us the 2014 Hard Reset. The game expands on the proven FPS mechanics and follows the adventures of Lo Wang, a mercenary operating in a world consumed by war between humans and demons. The protagonist has to fight hellish adversaries with guns, blades and magic either alone or in 4-player online co-op. Other noteworthy features are: procedural environments, brutal damage system based on precision blade strikes, and custom upgrades.
