Bloober Cooperates on a Horror Game With Big Publisher; Silent Hill?
In a recent interview, the head of Bloober Team, Piotr Babieno, talked about the studio's future projects. It's possible that it's about Silent Hill.

Bloober Team has been developing at a truly dizzying pace recently. Not only has is recently release the decent horror game The Medium, which broke even a day after launch, but also to establish cooperation with such gamedev bigshots as Platige Image, whose portfolio includes the first teaser for Cyberpunk 2077 and intros to The Witcher 2 and 3, and Akira Yamaoka, the legendary composer responsible for the soundtrack to the Silent Hill series. For the studio, Yamaoka created the music to The Medium.

In an interview fir gamesindustry.biz, Piotr Babieno, the CEO of Bloober Team, talked about the direction the studio wants to take with future projects. Resident Evil and The Last of Us were mentioned as inspirations. This fragment of Babieno's interview draws particular attention:
"In fact, we've been working for more than a year on another gaming project, another horror IP, and we're doing this with a very famous gaming publisher. I can't tell you who. I can't tell you what the project is, but I'm pretty sure when people realize we're working on it, they will be very excited."
His certainty of player excitement is a strong suggestion that Bloober Team is dealing with a popular brand with an established market position. Silent Hill is one of the most important and best associated horror game series. The fact that the aforementioned Hideo Kojima's canceled project.
Add to this the fact that Bloober Team has announced plans to introduce a project - a break with the "walking" gameplay model present in The Medium and Layers of Fear, among others. Once again, the thought arises that the reason for this change may be the desire to create a horror game with mechanics inspired by Japanese series such as Resident Evil or Silent Hill.
Of course, these are only speculations for now. Bloober Team may as well work on something completely new, which would not be surprising in the case of this studio. We can only hope that we will find out more details soon.
