As of now, there is no information on multiplayer in Star Trucker. Despite the fact that developers are quite active on Steam forum and they have even published FAQ, there is no comment on coop mode. We should that adding multiplayer to a game is not an easy thing. In most cases it is almost impossible after their release, if developers did not prepare earlier for that. It also takes more money and time, too. So, we should not expect that every title should be available to play with friends.
There are many titles, which concentrate on gameplay with multiple people, so we should be prepared that some are for solo players only. Of course, I can imagine that coop in Star Trucker could work. Maybe, if the game is successful enough, developers will add this feature in the future. that Stardew Valley was also a singleplayer game at the beginning. So, never say never, however, do not expect this feature anytime soon.
